Today is World AIDS Day, a time when the whole world comes together to remember those lost to this world wide disease.
In New York, for the whole 24-hour period of World AIDS Day, December 1, 2010, Housing Works is pulling together activists, volunteers, and those living with HIV and AIDS will read names continuously at
City Hall Park in lower Manhattan.
The vigil serves to memorialize friends, family, and loved ones lost, and to raise awareness about the twin crises of HIV/AIDS and homelessness
It's 100% open to the public to go and hear the names read aloud and feel the momentum
