THIS

Ms. Kelly Rowland, when you and your blunt bangs popped up from under stage

and then you threw that toned arm on that perfect hip... child!

I gay gasped!

Everything.

Somebody Snatched up Tickets to See Polly Mellen Speak

Legendary editor Polly Mellen is giving a lecture with Fern Mallis at the 92Y in December and I cannot think of a better birthday present to myself.

Known for being an editor at Harper's Bazaar (back when it was good and not being run into the ground), American Vogue (under her mentor Diana Vreeland) and Allure, she was an early advocate of both Isaac Mizrahi and Todd Oldham.

And she's a real spitfire.

Can't wait. More tickets available: http://www.92y.org/Uptown/Event/Polly-Mellen.aspx

Pride Weekend 2012

Shameful gay-fession: I've never been to Pride before. But this year I not only attended, I marched and danced in the Housing Works procession

There was even some swirling

And waving around house shaped signs demanding gender equality for everyone

Funny how over two years into a relationship and one year after gay marriage is passed in New York, I truly was filled with PRIDE

End of the Road : Donna Summer

I once had this job where we had an i-pod filled with old queen goes out on the town jams that was on perma shuffle. One of the many faggy faves that looped around was this like 20 minute mega mix of Donna Summer's "Cake in the Rain" nonsense.

In honor of her passing, here's said "McArthur Park", karaoke style

Friday the 13th Style Icons: Ned from Part 1

It's Friday the 13th and time for the next installment of "Lucky at the Mall, Unlucky at Camp" featuring chic campers that upstaged Jason Vorhees with some killer style.

Today's fashion victim subject is Ned Rubenstein, aka Neddy, aka our favorite gay hipster from the original "Friday the 13th"

Honey, if you've been anywhere near Metropolitan in the Summer, you're well versed on this jean cutoffs and vintage tee look.

But pretty soon Ned can't resist his nelly nature and it's fast track time to de-clothe and dance!

Later, Neddy tries to get all butch in the snake confrontation (well as butch as white jean shorty shorts allow)

But for repeating a look, he's forced to go off to gay pastures otherwise known as the off-screen death scene

Oh poor Ned, you didn't even make it to the all nite rave, where you'd meet some weird guy that keeps buying you drinks and then in a haze decide to go home with for a nite of risky choices and hot breath. You were robbed!

Date Movie: Spirits of the Dead

After weeks of holiday go, go, go, Mr G and I were due for a roommate nite in. What better excuse than leftover Christmas cookies and Jane Fonda?

More specifically Jane Fonda's wardrobe

After displaying his wife's ability to change and unchange in rapid succession in Barbarella, Roger Vadim once again takes full advantage of 60's peak Jane in this lush adaption of an Edgar Allen Poe tale, "Metzengerstein" (one of three. The other two directed by Fellini and Louis Malle)

(So Gaultier for Hermes, non?)

Man he loves to play Barbie with her. Makes you wonder what home life was like....

Mr G and I loved this mess with its inexplicable implied romance between Jane and a black horse that represents her dead lover (played by real life brother, Peter Fonda) she accidentally murdered when she burned his barn down after he spurned her advances.

Yup

(Don't fuck with Jane)

Haunted by beastly brotherly love, she rides the black stallion off into a firestorm upon completion of a commissioned tapestry bearing his likeness

And butt be out!

This is just the inspiring love story one needs to start the new year, right.

As for the other two tales of this triptych, Bardot is stunning as a brunette and a young Terrance Stamp reminds me of an ex of mine, but both are equally tedious without the fag bait of a killer wardrobe. Skip.
