Doin' It: Last Night's Viral Fashion Relaunch Party

I write for an online fashion magazine, Viral Fashion (in case ya' didn't know) and last night Mr Taurus put on our Summer best and attended the relaunch party (new fancy website: check it) at Soho gallery, Yellow Korner

(As the menswear editor, you know I had to kill it in a vintage Madonna "Who's That Girl?" concert t-shirt, suspenders, paper bag waist pants and my fave carpet bag

(Mr Taurus was Summer fashion diva ready in his mesh jersey tank and cutoffs with a vintage luggage bag. Cutie.)

Holiday Party in Red Hook

Mr Taurus' co-worker and our friend, Rebecca, invited us over the weekend to her beautiful loft in Red Hook, Brooklyn to celebrate the season.

And the good life, honey.

The happily married couple had a splendid spread of food, friends, books piled high from lands visited and Brent, the sweetest dog around

Last Nite's Party: OUT Magazine 100 Bash

Cuz when a gay glossy invites you out for open Ketle One, honey, you say "YES"

Especially when the other sponsor, BUICK, is all nervous laughter when co-host, Sharon Needles, climbs on they luxury sedan with her 5'' heels

Last Nite's Party: Dionne Werewolf and Hall-oween & Oates

(Do you know the way to Union Hall?)

"I give a little scare to you"

"Always something there right behind me"

Honey, these are the too much lyrics of the one and only Dionne Warwick / Burt Bacharach cover band, Dionne Werewolf

Miss MT and I got dressed up all ghoul like and went out for Halloween cover band mischief

You can hear me singing along (very poorly) in the background

And I love how they took all these 60's songs and spooky punned them out, child!

Opening band, Hall-oween & Oates had a full crew and sax player and were bringing saxy back!

And I can go for that! Sure can do.

Man, I can't wait for Halloween again!

Pride Weekend 2012

Shameful gay-fession: I've never been to Pride before. But this year I not only attended, I marched and danced in the Housing Works procession

There was even some swirling

And waving around house shaped signs demanding gender equality for everyone

Funny how over two years into a relationship and one year after gay marriage is passed in New York, I truly was filled with PRIDE

Last Nite's Dinner Party

Barley with roasted fennel, pickled onions, dill and radishes

Pickled onions worked brilliantly as an olive substitute

Crafting a dill, spring onion and lime sauce

Roasted!

The dill, spring onion and lime sauce

The slaughter!

Thanks again, former girl who lived in my new home for never cancelling your Bon Appetit subscription!

Something Pickled this Way Comes

Tonite I'm having some friends over for dinner and I got a jump start last nite by making my first ever pickled something or another

The pickled onions are gonna give a nice contrast to the rest of the salad tones tonite.

To be continued....

Man, I Gotta Start Drinking Scotch with Dirty Dish Water

Because these sweet and fun cocktails get me every time

Congrats to my friend, David Bergman for releasing his book on green architecture and sustainable design. Last nite he hosted a fete at Revision Lounge and Gallery complete with green themed drinks, the Carbonated Footprint of which I definitely did not conserve.

Anywho, make sure to pick up a copy of this great book on the history and future of green interiors and exteriors

('Sustainable Design: A Critical Guide' by David Bergman, $16.13 at Amazon.com, http://www.amazon.com/Sustainable-Design-Critical-Architecture-Briefs/dp/1568989415)

And if you see me out, make sure I stick to my new cocktail recipe! Ugh.

Last Nite's Party: Design on a Dime

Another amazing year!

Last nite I volunteered for New York based designer, Juniper Tedhams, who was a doll and created quite the graphic room with campaign beds and 19th century French chandeliers

Other favorites included:

Without realizing it I fell madly in love with the Nickelodeon room. Again! Although they switched up last year's Spongebob them for a Ninja Turtles vibe

Make sure to pop by this weekend for some spectacular finds!

Design on a Dime is open to the public all weekend at

The Metropolitan Pavilion
125 West 18th Street, New York, NY
