Linda Evangelista SUPER Hero in September 2012 W Magazine
Linda Evangelista shot by Steven Klein and styled by Edward Enninful for the September W Magazine
Linda's super power? Making this latex super hero meets Amanda Lepore drag look haute
I'd say like me she's counting the hours down til lunch here, but pishaw
(Meanwhile, I want all those mid-century odds and ends in the background)

Linda Evangelista's Court Couture... Which is Your Favorite Look?
Someone just made this mother's day!
Linda's battles for child support from French fashion mogul François-Henri Pinault have ended in a secret settlement which means two things:
1. She could have won that $46,000 / month for "child support". That's a lot of Muse bags PPR's gonna have to push! (Or unfortunate Burger King commercials for wife Selma Hayek)
2. No more Prada coolness from Her Evangelista-ness.
Like Naomi, Winona and hell, even Lindsay before her, Linda worked that courtroom couture selling the media on her good girl wronged vibe (although maybe not a convincing single mom in need look)
(Ever the 'supe', Linda never misses a camera angle to work)
So which of her law-suits fit her best?
Personally I wouldn't get out of bed for less than that swingy grey contrast black jacket in pic two.

Thanks for the Ad?
People, missing the point of how they make any money, always complain that magazines are all ads. Well, the November issue of W has a whole editorial scattered throughout the magazine of fake ads shot by Steven Meisel and starring Joan Rivers, Karen Elson, and the incomparable Linda Evangelista
And yes, that's a nip slip.

Barneys Windows Currently Even More Alluring
Barneys is celebrating Allure Magazine's 20th anniversary in their window. Never one to miss a chance at hyperbole, Simon Doonan claims Allure editor in chief
"Linda Wells is to BEAUTY what Orville Redenbacher was to popcorn"
To celebrate Barneys crafted a cake made of signature Allure covers, various bits and bobs of makeup and a Marie Antoinette does the Hot-lanta hair show bust on top
This whole thing is nice and all but I was too busy with my nose to the glass (very frowned upon at Barneys, darling. I could practically hear clicking of tongues from inside) playing "I spy Linda, I spy Niki!"
Now those B's got some allure!

Nice Work if You Can Get It, Christy Turlington
Sometimes my friends and I pretend we're the original Supes (I know, I know, but go with me). I'm always Linda. There's something so fun about taking on the haughty air of that statuesque chameleon while on the way to pick up beer and peanut butter. Naomi and Cindy are always snatched up quickly by my crew, but no one ever mentions Christy. I guess there isn't much to mime since she's never been affected by the glamour and glitter. Christy seems like the down to earth girl whom the others call in tears to share their heartbreaks.
Recently interviewed in the UK Telegraph, she remains poised, wise and humble about a career that's stood the test of time (her famous Maybeline contract is on year 19!)
There's lots of great quotes, but my fave is how she finds her daily tasks as a model so silly:
"I remember doing a shoot for Herb Ritts, hanging off the Eiffel Tower — that wasn't your usual day at the office"
Well, Christy, the next time I'm puttin' on The Trinity strut to Crate and Barrel, I'll grab a lamp post Gene Kelly style and pretend I'm you clutching the wrought iron of Paris in a diaphanous Westwood gown. Sounds like a good work day to me.
