Ok so I'm sluggin' through work today, minding my business as I try to get back into a routine that I'd only just started before this long holiday siesta. I casually check my email and what to my wonder would suddenly appear but an email from Bergdorf Goodman
Bergdorf Goodman wrote Mac from Maryland about my blog!
What a gift and my birthday isn't for another three weeks!
And the gift keeps on giving as the official, just released full length video of 'dogs gone wild' is pure mutt!
I love that the spotted dog (is that a Cavalier King James??) is dreaming of hot tea and room diffusers. Ha. Sounds like he understands the powers of tub time.

Thanks for the Ad?
People, missing the point of how they make any money, always complain that magazines are all ads. Well, the November issue of W has a whole editorial scattered throughout the magazine of fake ads shot by Steven Meisel and starring Joan Rivers, Karen Elson, and the incomparable Linda Evangelista
And yes, that's a nip slip.

Doin' It: Vintage Hermes Robe on Ebay
I don't wear a robe, but boy oh boy if I did, I'd traipse around the apartment in a cheetah print terry cloth hooded number from Hermes. Bring on the baths, darlin', cuz I'm never leaving the house! Meow!
(Vintage Hermes terrycloth robe, size small, $489, at http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=200642982634#ht_5188wt_1344)

And Now JAWS?
Why does Baby Aspen make a terry robe hoodie for your baby that features it getting eaten alive by a Great White? And why does Hautelook have this on their site right now?
(Nice pun, though...)
Great idea, Aspen Baby, frighten the s**t out of the child will guarantee and easy repeat of tub time.
Horror movie motif continues. Yikes!
(Baby Aspen "Let the Fin Begin" terry shark robe, $20 at Haute Look, http://www.hautelook.com/product/1798704)

Bath Time Marinade
In anticipation of a big, fun day (and after 7 days in a row of work!) I am in need of a good soak in the tub.
I'm a cheapish kinda guy, so I've never been big into pouring a lot of money into what I pour into the tub. It's literally money down the drain. Especially when olive oil and salt are all you need.
Olive Oil really penetrates the skin giving it a softness unparalleled. Salt manages to sooth my muscles while simultaneously scraping all the roughness off me too as an exfoliant. And like magic, olive oil and salt work together to detoxify my tired, beat down body.
After all that I will leave the tub feeling tenderized and salty. Rebooted for a new day.

Instead....
Of another piece of cake, last night I took a bath. For an hour and half. In the clawfoot tub in the bathroom my sister has designed to look like a Christmas jungle oasis.
