This Pedro Lourenço Resort Dress is Made for...
Which burgeoning style star will wear this printed and kick pleated silk shift?
My vote is for Emma Stone, who, in addition to getting a lot of press around here lately, would look lovely with her signature smart girl charm in tact.
Plus, as witnessed last week at the MTV Movie Awards in her origami style Martin Grant, she's not afraid of challenging designs by off the beaten path designers

Emma Stone Doin' it Sneakily at The Tony's
Lookin' all kinds of radiant next to boyfriend and Tony nominee, Andrew Garfield (he did not win for "Death of a Salesman", though the revival itself won)
That pluning v-neckline on her Naciso Rodriguez gown and those Chrysoprase earrings... girl! You may have skipped the red carpet, but you are workin' it for the cameras!

And while most folks are gonna rag on Mr Garfield for this awkward, finger to lip touch, I enjoy an awkward boy. Plus, who doesn't know the whole point to your pillow lips flirt trick? C'mon, boy know what he doin'!

Three Makes it a Trend: Berry Formal
(Emma Stone in luscious Lanvin)
Funny thing about celebrity stylists is they work from a very skewed calendar. There's always this race to get the latest or to make sure your client doesn't repeat a designer look, so clothes tend to be pulled from seasons ahead. In theory last nite's Golden Globes should have been a grand review of trends that will be hitting retail for Spring 2012.
Of course, the upcoming yellows and green color trends were represented but there was also a push for wintry maroons
Viola Davis was perfection in a pinot Pucci
Even host Ricky Gervais vamped in vermilion
So my question now is, was this a gemtone last hurrah or will there be a Springtime rubicund rush?

Stone Cold Beauty
(Emma Stone is a new addition to the Revlon beauty ambassadors)
Boy the beauty ambassadors luncheon this year is gonna be huge. They’re gonna need to call the Marriott ahead of time to make sure there’s enough rooms available. And while Revlon’s announcement that Emma Stone is one of their latest faces isn’t exactly a “diversity” push, it kinda still is. See the thing about Ms. Stone is she’s smart, quirky and fresh faced
I mean this with all the love in my sizes two small heart: she’s relatable. To a lot of girls that feel overlooked in a market where Olivia Wilde is also named a Revlon face
(Olivia Wilde modelling purple eyeshadow and no underarms)
Go ahead Emma. It Can’t All Be Dior toasts your continued success. See you at the continental breakfast bar!

Teen Choice Awards Make Me Feel Old and Confused
Who are these kids? -Sigh- Here are my fave looks from the event
(Emma Stone in Christian Dior Resort 2012)
Emma every time I see you, I love you more and more. And that smirk on your face as you give out a surfboard "award" for something silly like "Best tween in a Disney show (who will later release a sex tape)" says it all.
(Blake Lively in Gucci Resort 2012)
I don't usually condone monochromatic dressing, but Blake is working this sun kissed look. Although keep abusing the sun like that Ms. Lively and yellowed leather will become de rigeur pour toi.
(Shay Mitchell in DKNY Resort 2012)
Ok first off I dunno who da hell you are and that makes me feel wicked old.
Second, how are you best dressed at this event and in some straight up Macy's?
I need to lay down.

One ELLE of a Gal
"Fell in love with the girl, fell in love once and almost completely"
In a Yohji Yamamoto cage dress with polka dot Stella McCartney blouse and Sergio Rossi leather and suede boots, Emma Stone's ELLE magazine July 2011 subscriber cover is like a vision from "Barbarella" or Roman Coppola's "CQ"
Take note, W, this is how you showcase an ingenue!

Unsolicited Advice for Emma Stone
Dear Emma Stone,
Doll, I know the blonde is for your upcoming Spider-Man role, but your former red hair was much more becoming
You look so wan as a blonde and there's a certain familiar "Path of Destruction" to this dye job.
With much love and best wishes for 2011,
It Can't All Be Dior
