Face It, Chloe Sevigny's Closet is Cooler Than Yours

Unless you've sot stored away some bits of costuming you did for a Harmony Korine or Alber Elbaz sketches of Oscar gowns

Perpetual It Girl (seriously, does she age?) Chloe Sevigny shows her pals at Opening Ceremony what's in her closet and wile the clothes are intriguing (I remember selling those Comme Des Garcons heart cut-out jackets) what most startled me is how much she can fit into an East Village closet! That's a true pack rat there, honey. One in a pageboy and an S+M collar.

This is only part one and like any good serial, they left us with a cliffhanger.

To be continued....

WE WE WE All The Way Home: Madonna's New York Film Premiere

(Madonna in Roberto Cavalli with new blood, Andrea Riseborough)

Madonna made a movie and brought it home to New York this week.

The difference between the premiere at MoMA and the previous presentations at the Venice and Toronto Film Festivals?

"No one has gotten me a glass of champagne like they did in Venice and Toronto. So I’m sober"

Oh Madonna, I'm drunk in love with you! And your guest list ain't so bad either

(Parker Posey decked in red and a serapi)

(Umm... was there a crimson lady motif, Chloe Sevigny?)

(Olivier Theyskens and Richard Chai debate Like a Prayer versus Like A Virgin)

(Olivia Palermo, never match your shoes to your date's pocket square!)

(I guess Anne Vyalitsina looks good, but where's your boyfriend? He look better!)

(Luckily, The Silver Fox was there holding down the cute...)

(and Adrien Brody too!)

(I hope Madonna located the bar. But then again she always knew where to find the boys and the booze!)

Thrown a Curve 'Ball'

(Queen of the Universe in and with Oscar de la Renta)

A few weeks ago I wrote how there was none of the usual hype for this year's Costume Institute Ball at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

Well where there's no smoke, there's none of that fire. And last nite was in desperate need of a bellow.

(Hilary Rhoda in Prabal Gurung)

(Naomi Campbell in
Dolce +Gabbana)

Ladies, these outfits are weak. This is your moment to give us a giant sartorial bitch slap, Alexis Carrington style. This is more like Amanda Woodward lite.

(Jessica Stam in Rachel Roy)

(Zoe Saldana in Calvin Klein)

Things I did like: lots of models present, granted outside Naomi no "supers". Where's Kate? Stephanie? Alek? Karen Elson? Could they smell this stinker a mile away?

(Chanel Iman doin' it in Michael Kors)

And I liked that most guests repped for American designers (again except Naomi. Oh Nomes! Gotta love ya!)

And these usual suspects looked good:

(Chloe Sevigny in Proenza Schouler)

(Nicole Richie in Marc Jacobs)

(Rachel Zoe in Marc Jacobs)

(Gwen Stefani in LAMB)

And obviously let my US Weekly subscription lapse, cuz when did these two get back together???

(Sienna Miller in Pucci and Jude Law)

But hands down the best look of the evening belongs to:

(Dreamboat Christopher Bailey
and non-descript young'in white girl actress  #4)
