Whose Instagram Do You Follow?

In addition to the usual fashion fare (Barney's, Kirna Zabete, Colette, etc) and models / fashion folk (Coco Rocha, Steven Kolb, Kate Spade New York, etc)

I also check in with Pantone for the freshest take in color, Peter Som for runway, recipes and relaxation

And, of course, Rihanna. Because that B puts her whole life on Instagram blast. Seriously, does she not have a handler for that???

VOGUE-sicles!

The September issues are out in full effect but until I get my hands on the Lady Gaga American Vogue, I casually poured through the August issue with Marion Cotillard.

Buried deep what should I unearth but recipes! In VOGUE! How dare they!

Granted they were for popsicles, which seems like one of those Get Out of Jail Free items for models to consume, so I figured, when in Vogue?

Of course I chose the Caipirinha which included a new fangled (for my whiteness) Brazilian rum, Cachaça, which despite Wikipedia informing me is pronounced "Ca-SHAH-sa", Ms GL and I had a hoot shouting "Ca-Shock-Ka!" during the whole boozy process

After muddling some lime, straining some sugar and making a mess, the results were Ca-shocking!

Child, I'd never have had the VOGUE idea to make me own ice pops.

Forget you Edy's

And here's to sneak attack public drinking! Heyyyyy!

Water Water Everywhere

It's Summer and that means you gotta stay hydrated. They say eight glasses of water, but with that mean old sun beatin' you down what you eat can hydrate you too.

Just check out these secret Summer sources of h2o

Gazpacho

This traditional Iberian soup is a slick way to utilize all those brilliant garden fresh tomatoes and peppers just bursting with juicy flavor.

Lemons

What's Summer without lemonade? Or a flavorful wedge in your ice tea?

Pasta Salad

Pasta absorbs the water it boils in and when tosses with veggies, olive oil and a squeeze more lemon, you got one refreshing cook out staple.

The Ice Cream Truck

There's a reason those magical notes call to you on a hot day. It's not just nostalgia. This sweet treat really cools you down and revs you up.

Blackberries

Growing up we had a blackberry bush in the backyard and let me tell you these b's be juicy!

Arugula

Also in season this piquant and peppery Summer green has the sexy added bonus of being heralded since the Roman Empire as a libido enhancer. Grrr....

Lately Mr Taurus and I have been hooked on arugula and this simple recipe is one I like to toss together really quick utilizing the best of Summer's secret water sources

Blackberry, yellow pepper and arugula salad

1 Box Blackberries
1 Large Yellow Bell Pepper
Large Bowl of Arugula
Salt and Pepper to Taste

-Rinse all items

Don't I Look Cute Today: Getting Down and Thirty

Friday nite was Miss G's "Dirty Thirty" birthday party. I of all people totally understand the importance of a proper 30th. And Miss G did it right: balloons, signature champagne drink (recipe below) and people dressed in they finest.

I turned it out proper like

(Top hat and red silk boutonniere from Maryland party store, black Zara blazer and Marchand Drapier dress shirt with love and sex reflection script print, red knit tie and Deadly Squire dagger tie tack)

But really, I am always looking for an excuse to wear a top hat.

"The Dirty Thirty"

Mix in an 8oz glass:

- 4oz high-quality champagne
-one shot Grey Goose vodka

Top off with peach nectar and stir. Serve over ice. Regret the next day.
