Trot Around Town in Style This Spring

My friend owns a spectacular vintage brand, Omnia Vintage, where she sells sweet satchels and crossbody bags from the 70's and even cuter apparel for the Brooklyn gal in all of us.

This horse and stripe skirt is the piece to gallop around town in come Spring 2013

So trot on over to her Etsy shop and rein in this wild number. You'll find neigh better!

It's A Gift: Sneaky Day Drunk

It's Friday and daddy ready to get his drink on. But - ugh - there's this pesky work day in the way. Perhaps if I only had some rye toast and jam that somehow sneaky snuck schnapps....

Or whiskey!

Oooh, even better, Red Camper Picnic Supply Company!

Etsy Mason Jar Wall Vases... a New DIY Project?

I should stop being such a penny pincher, right, and just cough up the measly $19 for these mason jar bud vases / sconce thingies

But Mr Taurus has a knack at turning old stuff into new and is super handy, so perhaps this is an upcoming DIY project for our weekend

Give Your Four Legged Friend Some Love

No matter what your relationship status, there's probably a real cool cat that has your heart this Valentine's Day. Why not return the love with these homemade catnip treats (or "Cat Nipchers" as they're coyly named!)

Made from "all good things: flour, dry milk, catnip, milk, raw honey and an egg", these little feline favors are "then shaped into a ball and rolled out thin and cut" into a heart

When not showering your whiskered wuv-muffin, store these charming little guys in the fridge, or dole out with abandon to all your friends and their furry friends.

Best part? For $6 you get two baker's dozen homemade "Cat Nipchers" in a sweet gift bag. Deal-icious!

And if you've got a real dog in your life, don't worry, you can throw him a bone!

New Years Resolutions are so Admiral

It's a new year and that means once again donning the guise of gumption.

In doing so, I'm gonna lie and say I'll get up earlier to write more before work.

This little vintage Admiral radio turned Ipod player is a sexy way to play along with the self-deception

This Etsy clever crafter converted this destined for the dump relic into a modern piece of sleek architecture for his
"Boss Radios" store (there's other models available, although each is a one off, obviously)

And the clock still works!

On with the farce!
